Miranda is joined by writer Ryan O'Connell (Awkward, Thought Catalog) for a dive into his exciting high school experience. Ryan went to Foothill Technology High School and was very grateful that when he attended it was two years old and new and small and full of young teachers, one of which insisted on being called "Captain".
Ryan admitted to being a bit of a mean girl (he had Queen Bee status), is guilty of starting feuds, and told us about his coming out party.
This episode's superlative may very well be "Most Dramatic"
This week's episode is with comedian Brandon Wardell. Brandon went to a pretty large high school in Virginia, scammed his parents on a few report cards, and started stand up AS A TEEN.
This week's episode is with comedian and former Crew team member Eli Yudin (@nottildaswinton). Eli is our first prank-pulling guest and BOY WERE HIS HIJINKS AMAZING. Tune in for some classic "Boys Will Be Boys" reminiscing.
This week's amazing episode is with the lovely Xosha Roquemore (The Mindy Project, Precious). She went to Oakwood School before starting at the catholic private school, St. Bernard. Xosha's penchant for the "thug life" and good student sensibilities resulted in a "I can't get in trouble" loop hole that she definitely took advantage of.
This episode is so fun. Take notes.
Today's episode we have our first boarding school attendee AND prom queen, Lang Fisher (30 Rock, The Onion, The Mindy Project). Lang attended boarding school in Colorado Springs where she almost got kicked out, lied about a drug deal, and was a part of The Hive.
Lang was also very studious and probably had a little too much on her plate at once; her living on campus provided us a different take on the high school experience.

For this week's episode Miranda gets introspective with Alexander Tarrant (artist, creative consultant, former basketball player). Graduating in '98, Alexander went to high school in a world pre- The Matrix but still managed to live in his computer. Alex wasn't too interested in school but one Jamaican teacher with a mustache really left an impression. What risque movie did Alex take the tall girl in school out on a date?
After ditching the jock life in high school, Alexander has established himself as an increidble artist with an incredible show coming to LA in August called The Outsource Show
Sharpen your pencils, take notes, and listen up, It's High School With Alexander!
